Ammonia Leak From Train Causes Evacuation in Northern Ontario – A gas leak from a train has forced the evacuation of almost a quarter of a small northern Ontario town. OPP Const. Marc Depatie says approximately 105 people were evacuated in Gogama to a community centre on the edge of town. A rail tank car was found to be leaking ammonia gas and the train was stopped. OSHA issues PSM citations to Meatpacking facility ($120K) – OSHA issued 23 serious violations, with a penalty of $118,000, regarding PSM, electrical, confined space and lockout-tagout of hazardous energy sources and respirator protection standards.
