Washington Facilities Face Huge Fines Due To Ammonia Compliance

October 2nd, 2012 |

Two facilities in Washington are facing huge fines due to risk management plan violations related to their ammonia refrigeration systems. As part of the settlements, Dovex Fruit Company will have to pay $134, 613 and Clasen Family Company will pay $17,030 in fines and another $58,800 in a supplemental environmental project. This serves as another reminder to make sure that your ammonia system is in safe working condition and that your RMP & PSM compliance documentation is up-to-date.
